The Classes We Offer

Kali Street Boxing and Krav Maga

This class is a beginner to advanced phase program where students will learn techniques adopted from Filipino Martial Arts and Krav Maga. This class addresses the most common threats and attacks. We also include other defenses inspired from Jeet Kun Do, Silat, and Thai Boxing, wrestling and grappling”.

This class also addresses ground defenses from Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Ground Combatives Drills are deployed so students can deal with simulated threats and attacks including the tactical use of weapons in case one is needed. Controlled sparring and scenario drills are included at this level of the program so students can apply their training.

Training will include various scenarios and stress drills to acclimate the student to responding under near real conditions. This program is designed for anyone who wants to learn self- defense and improve their physical conditioning regardless of training, current physical condition or age.

*Requires hand wraps, MMA or boxing gloves, and water.

Weapon Tactics and Defenses

This class is taught using Pekiti-Tirsia Kali “PTK” which is a combat-oriented system, as opposed to sport-focused, style. It is a system that focuses on the effective uses of and defenses against edged weapons, blunt objects, flexible weapons, improvised or “common” objects and firearms. It is the official system adopted by the elite Philippine military and law enforcement units. Controlled sparring and scenario drills are included in this class so students can apply their training.

*Boxing gloves, Rattan Sticks, safety gloves, eye protection, and approved rubber or tactical folding training knife.

Striking and Combatives

This is an intense pad striking class where individuals learn the basic techniques adopted from Thai boxing, Western Boxing and the conditioning and techniques from various martial arts athletes without full contact and bruises. It includes various calisthenics and weight bearing exercises designed to burn 300-500 calories per hour. This session is for anyone who wants to get in shape, lose weight and increase flexibility. This course will increase a person’s fitness goals and objectives regardless of current health or fitness level.

Class Curriculum

Our program is divided into a three-phase curriculum: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each phase is then divided into sections focusing on specific principles, movements, and reactions. Every section involves: empty hands applications, weapons, and ground defenses.

Phase 1

In this phase the student focuses on the various skills such as movement, flexibility, and the understanding required to perform techniques and defenses.

Phase 2

In this phase the students participates in active drills and scenario training. This phase focuses on adding more vital skills to the basic foundation making the self-protection techniques reflexive behavior.

Phase 3

In our third phase the students acquires other skills and techniques for using advanced weapons improvise weapons, for close quarter protection in various surroundings.

All classes require hand wraps, Mixed Martial Arts “MMA”, and Boxing gloves, rattan sticks, eye protection, and approved rubber or tactical folding training knife., and water.
